We also list awards that Diamant models or the Diamant brand itself have received. Your new bike should be fun to ride. That\u2019s why no test is as good as your own test ride. However, professional tests can help with your initial selection and provide useful guidance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Diamant regularly participates in tests conducted by industry magazines. We have established some internal rules to ensure that these tests run as smoothly as possible. Transparency is important to us, so we are sharing these rules with you here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Priority for new models and pro versions<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our goal is for each new model series to participate in at least one comparison test in its first year. In the second year, we focus on individual tests. By the third year, we submit a model series for testing only in exceptional cases. We do not know in advance which competitors will also submit bikes for comparison tests. Whenever possible, we submit the test bike in its best-equipped version.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>We cover lab costs<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Some industry magazines conduct extensive lab tests on bicycles, using external institutes such as DEKRA in Stuttgart or Velotech in Schweinfurt. In some cases, we, as the manufacturer, cover these lab costs. Occasionally, we also pay publication fees for additional tests in the form of licensing fees to display test seals. We are highly critical of this practice as it can compromise the perceived independence of test results. That\u2019s why we ensure we only participate in methodologically sound tests conducted by competent professionals. We prefer to forgo publicity rather than risk our integrity. Any tests involving financial contributions are clearly marked in our test overview.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>We submit bikes in standard production configurations<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Stiftung Warentest purchases its test products on the open market to prevent manufacturers from sending specially prepared models. Diamant always submits models in their standard production configuration to other magazines and ensures that each bike is checked for functionality by a dealer before delivery. Photo bikes are built on the same production line as our retail bikes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>We reuse test bikes<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Many bikes are used in multiple tests, but no bike is subjected to two lab tests if both include durability testing. If previous tests have left visible marks, we inform subsequent testers about these scratches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Test bikes are always loan bikes<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For tests where we actively provide a bike, we always use loan bikes.
