Our company was first founded in 1885. We are Germany\u2019s oldest bicycle manufacturer. Diamant is also the only major bike brand from Eastern Germany. Our bikes enable people to reach and achieve more. More mobility. More places. More activity. More feelings. More quality. More freedom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Movement is our fixed point. Time keeps moving us, but we keep moving time and people. Moving people \u2013 that\u2019s creating excitement. Moving things \u2013 that\u2019s creating change. Moving thoughts \u2013 that\u2019s creating guidance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Heartmade in Hartmannsdorf<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We are more than 400 very normal, very down-to-earth people. But we are all passionate about your Diamant making you shine while you ride.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That\u2018s us. More than 400 very normal, very down-to-earth, very honest people that work in a small village a stone-throw away from Chemnitz. Some work with us for more than 40 years. Some are here for just a short period. Truth be told, not all of us are passionate cyclists. But we are all passionate about you falling in love with the Diamant you ride. That gives us satisfaction, joy, and pride. And did you know? Chemnitz was an epicenter of the German cycling industry in the early 20th century. Of all that, only Diamant is left. We represent and evolve the legacy of our beloved home. So, even if on some days it\u2019s just a job: We identify with what we do, and our bikes are ambassadors of who we are. Quality, technology, engineering \u2013 we embody these German values. But we add our note of human warmth and empathy so they fulfill their reason: to move people who move things.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018Made in Germany\u2019 stands for quality and expertise, and for excellence in engineering and technology. Of course, Diamant also wants to embody these values. Yet for us, movement is far more than just a cold, technical construct. Bikes are for people \u2013 and people have dreams. They want to overcome weaknesses, illnesses or a lack of self-confidence. They want to experience freedom and achieve their goals. Specifications and features must therefore be more than ends in themselves. We are Eastern German. Our biography is a long tale of searching for freedom. We will not change the world. But we can give you more comfort in yours. And it doesn\u2019t have to be boring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our story goes beyond age and achievements. We are Eastern German. And therefore, our DNA reflects the eternal human quest for freedom and for better living in a world of constraints. We built bicycles to expand our free space while we were restricted by the Wall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our walls are no longer physical, but we are still there to tear down constraints and boundaries. To take a different perspective. To break the prejudice. To make us move again. And you. Brand with heritage, not heritage of a brand<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We are old. But there\u2019s not value in being old if that\u2019s all you got. We have history today because we\u2019ve always been modern.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We invented the modern bicycle chain with double rollers. The first German cyclists to wear the yellow jersey and to become World Champions, they rode on Diamant. And we also introduced the second modern e-bike to serial production in the early 1990s. But heritage is static. The present needs movement. And we are much, much more than just another old brand with a suitcase full of historic anecdotes. When our past was still our present, we set out to meet the challenges of those times. We are just as young as we are old. And development is our legacy. We still dare to break our own conventions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
