En g\u00e5ng en racercykel, idag ett kultobjekt och museif\u00f6rem\u00e5l. Dess historia och design forts\u00e4tter att inspirera m\u00e5nga cykel\u00e4lskare och entusiaster \u00e4n idag. I det h\u00e4r blogginl\u00e4gget ger vi oss ut p\u00e5 en resa till det f\u00f6rflutna med en extraordin\u00e4r cykel som inte har f\u00f6rlorat n\u00e5gon av sin kraft trots alla \u00e5r som g\u00e5tt.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Diamant 167 \u00e4r fredsloppscykeln<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Allt b\u00f6rjar 1952: Det h\u00e4r \u00e5ret b\u00f6rjar vi utveckla Diamant 167. Tv\u00e5 \u00e5r senare, i maj, avslutas projektet framg\u00e5ngsrikt. Planen \u00e4r att tillverka 150 t\u00e4vlingsklara racercyklar av modell 167 f\u00f6r cykelklubbarna i DDR. Detta ambiti\u00f6sa uppdrag har ett tydligt m\u00e5l. Fr\u00e5n och med den 28 augusti 1954 skulle cyklarna s\u00e4kerst\u00e4lla framg\u00e5ngen i det prestigefyllda loppet Friedensfahrt. Fredsloppet var ett lopp genom Polen, Tjeckoslovakien och DDR och var lika k\u00e4nd \u00f6ster om muren som Tour de France v\u00e4ster om muren. Och uppdraget slutf\u00f6rs: Scenen \u00e4r nu redo f\u00f6r att skriva historia.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ett \u00e5r senare g\u00e5r allt fortfarande som p\u00e5 r\u00e4ls f\u00f6r Diamant inom cykelsporten. Loppet str\u00e4ckte sig \u00f6ver 2 214 kilometer och var uppdelat i 13 etapper.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\r\n      <\/div>\r\n    <\/div>\r\n  <\/div>\r\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Introduktionen av cirkul\u00e4r gaffel<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Diamant 167 tillverkades i fyra olika ramstorlekar. Vi utvecklade och installerade en cirkul\u00e4r gaffel f\u00f6r f\u00f6rsta g\u00e5ngen. Den korta diametern och den cirkul\u00e4ra formen p\u00e5 gaffelbladen l\u00e4ngs hela l\u00e4ngden gav po\u00e4ng f\u00f6r b\u00e4ttre d\u00e4mpning. V\u00e4gf\u00f6rh\u00e5llandena var ofta mycket d\u00e5liga p\u00e5 den tiden. Alla v\u00e4gar var inte asfalterade och kullersten dominerade fortfarande, s\u00e4rskilt i stadskorsningar. Effekterna p\u00e5 s\u00e5dana ytor kan utj\u00e4mnas. Som ett resultat beh\u00f6ll cyklisterna p\u00e5 Diamant b\u00e4ttre kontroll \u00f6ver sina cyklar och blev mindre tr\u00f6tta. N\u00e4r gaffeln visade sig vara bra anv\u00e4nde vi den senare \u00e4ven p\u00e5 Diamants sportcyklar. Det \u00e4r inte alltid l\u00e4tt, s\u00e4rskilt med cyklar som har modifierats kraftigt. Ofta \u00e4r \u00e5tminstone dateringen ganska enkel. Modellen med 8-v\u00e4xlat v\u00e4xelreglage kostade cirka 40 mark mer. Idag \u00e4r Diamant 167 s\u00e4llsynt p\u00e5 v\u00e4garna. N\u00e5gra f\u00e5 har bevarats i sitt ursprungliga skick, medan m\u00e5nga andra har uppgraderats med moderna tillbeh\u00f6r. Det \u00e4r sv\u00e5rt att veta hur m\u00e5nga Diamant 167 som fortfarande finns kvar.
