En tid d\u00e5 stilfull cykling var en konstform i sig. I det h\u00e4r blogginl\u00e4gget tittar vi n\u00e4rmare p\u00e5 de speciella egenskaperna hos dessa tv\u00e5 touringcyklar och deras roll i en turbulent tid.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">10 \u00e5r med DDR<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I samband med 10-\u00e5rsdagen f\u00f6r DDR:s grundande den 7 oktober 1959 satte cykeltillverkarna p\u00e5 den ber\u00f6mda fabriken VEB Elite Diamant i Chemnitz upp ambiti\u00f6sa m\u00e5l: Produktion av totalt 273 000 cyklar, inklusive introduktionen av de tv\u00e5 modellerna Diamant 35 102 och 35 154. Det \u00e4r touringcyklar \u2013 herrversionen 35 102 och damversionen 35 154.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">De tv\u00e5 cyklarna anv\u00e4ndes fr\u00e4mst f\u00f6r pendling till arbetet och f\u00f6r fritidsinriktade \u00e4ndam\u00e5l. Det fanns dock en viktig begr\u00e4nsning: Dessa modeller var utrustade utan v\u00e4xlar, vilket gjorde l\u00e4ngre turer och branta uppf\u00f6rsbackar till en utmaning.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">B\u00e5de herr- och dammodellerna fanns endast i ramstorlek 56. F\u00f6r l\u00e4ngre personer innebar detta att sadelstolpen m\u00e5ste f\u00f6rl\u00e4ngas maximalt f\u00f6r att de fortfarande skulle kunna cykla bekv\u00e4mt. Utrustningen f\u00f6r b\u00e5da varianterna var ocks\u00e5 praktiskt taget identisk. Damcykeln var utrustad med en touringsadel och ett kl\u00e4dn\u00e4t p\u00e5 baksk\u00e4rmen. Kl\u00e4dn\u00e4tet anv\u00e4ndes f\u00f6r att f\u00f6rhindra att kvinnornas kl\u00e4der fastnade i bakhjulet.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I \u00f6vrigt f\u00f6rblev motorcyklarna n\u00e4stan of\u00f6r\u00e4ndrade under hela produktionsperioden (1959\u20131987).
