Detta m\u00e4sterverk byggdes strax f\u00f6re OS i Berlin 1936 som en direkt vidareutveckling av modell 66. I det h\u00e4r blogginl\u00e4gget tar vi en titt p\u00e5 modellens h\u00e4ndelserika historia och f\u00f6rklarar varf\u00f6r Diamant 67 fascinerar m\u00e5nga m\u00e4nniskor \u00e4nnu idag.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Topprestanda f\u00f6r OS: S\u00e5 uppstod Diamant 67<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00c5r 1936 f\u00f6ddes Diamant 67. Inf\u00f6r de kommande olympiska spelen i Berlin arbetade man febrilt med att ta fram en efterf\u00f6ljare till modell 66, som var alldeles f\u00f6r tung f\u00f6r att kunna fungera som en extraordin\u00e4r t\u00e4vlingsmaskin. Sadelstolpen och naven var tillverkade av l\u00e4ttmetall. Resten f\u00f6rblev of\u00f6r\u00e4ndrat. Resultatet blev modell 66, f\u00f6reg\u00e5ngaren till Diamant 67. Den fick standardbeteckningen \u201dmodell f\u00f6r yrkescyklister\u201d, vilket ocks\u00e5 uttrycktes genom ett emblem p\u00e5 sadelr\u00f6ret.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>P\u00e5 den tiden var t\u00e4vlingssport officiellt reserverad f\u00f6r amat\u00f6rer och det fanns inga proffsidrottare i modern mening. T\u00e4vlingsidrottare organiserades formellt i f\u00f6retagssportf\u00f6reningar, till exempel p\u00e5 Diamant och andra f\u00f6retag. \u00c4ven om dessa idrottare officiellt var anst\u00e4llda i sina yrken, till exempel som fabriksmont\u00f6rer, var de befriade fr\u00e5n sitt ordinarie arbete f\u00f6r att kunna \u00e4gna sig \u00e5t sina sporter. Trots den l\u00e4tta ramen var modell 67 fortfarande relativt tung p\u00e5 grund av de \u00f6vriga delar i st\u00e5l som fortfarande anv\u00e4ndes. Denna situation f\u00f6r\u00e4ndrades i grunden 1937. Fr\u00e5n och med nu kunde man f\u00e5 racercykeln utrustad med komponenter i l\u00e4ttmetall f\u00f6r ytterligare 20 riksmark. Anv\u00e4ndningen av l\u00e4ttmetall ger betydande f\u00f6rdelar i form av viktbesparingar vid tillverkningen av olika p\u00e5monterade delar. V\u00e4xelreglage anv\u00e4nds f\u00f6r f\u00f6rsta g\u00e5ngen i landsv\u00e4gscykling. Cyklarna \u00e4r ocks\u00e5 visuellt raffinerade med f\u00e4rgade element och dekorativa Diamant-huvuden.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\r\n      <\/div>\r\n    <\/div>\r\n  <\/div>\r\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Den mystiska markeringen p\u00e5 ramarna till Diamant 67<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Fr\u00e5n den 27 april 1938, eller fr\u00e5n ramnummer 1.046.888, ersattes de extremt tunnv\u00e4ggiga 0,6 mm-r\u00f6ren med tjockare 0,8 mm-r\u00f6r. Detta beslut fattades troligen p\u00e5 grund av skador p\u00e5 ramen orsakade av de tunna r\u00f6ren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Produktionen av Diamant 67 fortsatte fram till november 1942. Cirka 14000 exemplar tillverkades. Mellan den 12 december 1938 och den 8 augusti 1940 m\u00e4rktes vissa ramar med ett \u201dR\u201d p\u00e5 styrhuvudet. Alla dessa cyklar hade ett ramnummer som egentligen indikerar tillverkningsdatum den 7 mars 1944. Dessa nummer hade dock redan tilldelats andra modeller 1944. Vi kan fortfarande bara spekulera om orsaken till denna numrering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"mb-5\">F\u00f6r att sammanfatta kan vi s\u00e4ga att Diamant 67 var en prototyp f\u00f6r Diamants racermodeller, som ocks\u00e5 skulle bli framg\u00e5ngsrika under de f\u00f6ljande \u00e5rtiondena. De kontinuerliga f\u00f6rb\u00e4ttringarna, som b\u00f6rjade med justeringen av r\u00f6rens tjocklek och inf\u00f6randet av komponenter i l\u00e4ttmetall, speglar innovationsandan och den tekniska utvecklingen. Denna ikoniska racermodell har en given plats i cykelhistorien.
