Why Diamant?
Ride ahead. Ride a head.
We strive for innovative products, patents, and being the pioneer of the next big development. But true innovation happens when products become a better version of themselves. We don’t blindly follow every trend, nor do we implement every new smart component. We develop bikes that offer lasting and meaningful functionality.
Learn more about our development approach here.
Clever Tech: Clever first before smart
We develop our own frame technology, and we take very conscious decisions about how our bikes should function – not only today, but also next week, next year, and ten years down the bike path. Next week, you’re going on a bike trip. Next year, you want a different handlebar. And in ten years, you’re still looking for compatible spare parts when the original equipment is maybe not available anymore.
- For some time, we made the same mistakes as many manufacturers. Today, we design our frames with durability and variability in mind.
- Less proprietary. More open.
- Less complex. More functional.
- Your local bike mechanic ought to repair your next bike easier and more intuitively than the previous one.
- You ought to find standard spare parts anywhere.
- The most relevant equipment of the most established accessory brands ought to fit optimally in most use cases.
Maybe you’ll wait one, two, three years longer for the most recent e-bike drive or the newest fancy feature. Maybe some tech we will never offer. We don’t jump on every bandwagon. There’s so many of them anyways. Instead, we want you to feel certain that someone thought it through when something new is coming. That’s what a Clever Bike is to us: Simply a very good bike.
Since 1885 a brand you can trust
In the bicycle industry or elsewhere, only a few brands have been around as long as we have—140 years! We may not be a hipster brand, but
- time and again, we rank among the top 3 or top 5 when people are asked which brand they value most for quality, fairness, and price-performance, and
- we are known for reliability, a commitment to environmental sustainability, and customer satisfaction.
After 140 years, trust is no longer just given—it’s earned. For over a century, we have taken on the challenge of upholding our name. Sometimes, things go wrong for us too—that’s only human and honest. But when that happens, we are passionate about making it right.
