    Mahon character badge

    Face the Facts

Mahón is the capital of Menorca. It’s also an anagram of Nhoma, our very popular gravel bike that now uses the same frame. In reference to Menorca, the Mahon’s character badge shows an olive leaf.

    Ride with style

The innovative design with the broken dropout makes maintenance of the belt drive quick and easy – and ensures safe wheel mounting. The belt lasts longer than any chain, stays clean and is compatible with all Shimano hub gears. You will experience maximum efficiency and durability thanks to components that are specifically designed for bikes without a motor.

    Go on a trip

With the 65 mm suspension fork ex works – optionally up to 85 mm – and tyre widths of up to 50 mm, you can master both asphalt and unpaved paths with ease. The specific tyre tread ensures plenty of grip on any surface, while the dynamic riding position provides the necessary comfort for long rides. Thanks to the Clever Rack with 25 kg load capacity and trailer compatibility, you are perfectly equipped for every trip.

    Discover the world

For even more luggage, you can also attach drybags or a low rider rack to the rigid fork of the Mahon World. We recommend the Tubus Tara. With this and all the additional attachment points for accessories, your bike becomes a pack mule for incredible adventures. Plus extra wide 50 mm tyres. And not entirely unimportant: with very easily accessible gear cables and a deliberate focus on standard parts, you can probably repair the bike anywhere in the world if necessary.

Mahon acoustic SUV – FAQ: Everything you need to know

We offer the Mahon in the following six versions:

The Mahon Style is an urban bike. The Mahon Trip is a trekking® bike. The Mahon World is a touring bike.

    Mahon Style u0026amp; Trip:

    • Stepover: M, L, XL, XXL (XXL only Mahon Style Plus)
    • Midstep: S, M, L

    Mahon World:

    • Stepover: M, L, XL, XXL

We measure the frame size as the distance from the centre of the bottom bracket to the top of the seat tube. We recommend that all customers take a test ride and seek professional advice from our dealers.

All versions weigh between 14.4 and 15.9 kg and have a permissible total weight (bike, rider and load) of 136 kg.

The Mahon frames are equally compatible with internal gear hub and rear derailleur. Although a conversion requires the replacement of many components, it is possible and reversible at any time. In conjunction with internal gear hubs, you can use belt drives. Mahon are not compatible with Rohloff or Pinion gears.

The Mahon frames are designed for both rigid forks and suspension forks. Depending on the tire width, suitable suspension forks can have up to a maximum of 100 mm suspension travel.

Tires up to 50-622 or 65-584 are compatible. Make sure that there is at least 6 mm clearance between the tires and other parts (e.g. fenders and their hardware).

We recommend the Tubus Tara Big Apple as a front carrier in combination with our original rigid fork. Alternatively, you can also attach a drybag cage/holder to the left and right of our rigid fork. Front carriers should not be used on suspension forks.

The Clever Rack can carry up to 25 kg. In any case, the rider must make sure that the total vehicle weight limit (bike, rider and load) of 136 kg is not exceeded.

Most bags in the market will fit. For a particularly good fit, on the sides we recommend the Ortlieb BackRoller Classic panniers. At the top, MIK-compatible bags or accessories will fit best. Please note that mounting the accessories on one or both sides of the rack (instead of the top) will result in the best, most stable ride experience.

There are five pairs of eyelets on the frame (stepover). Two on the top tube, one on the seat tube and two on the down tube. The rigid fork also offers options for attaching accessories on the left and right.

Transport of children is done at own risk; follow the instructions for your specific accessory to protect your bicycle from harm. In any case, the rider must make sure that the total vehicle weight limit (bike, rider and load) of 136 kg is not exceeded.

No, we strongly advise against this type of child seats.

Yes, in observance of the pertaining sections in the Diamant Owner’s Manual. The Nhoma and Mahon use the same frame platform. The names are an anagram to each other and thus tell of their relationship. However, the orientation of the two models differs greatly. Nhoma are bikes with a drop bar, which we equip for sporty use. Mahon are bikes with flat handlebars that enable an active but comfortable riding style. Mahon and Nhoma are like fraternal twins.

Ride with style. Go on a trip. Explore the world – literally.
